Traditional and regional songs (folk music, bhajans, prarthanas, and cultural poetry) were dispersed across personal notebooks, unorganized PDFs, and social media photos with no unified searchable digital library. Finding a song from a single half-remembered line was nearly impossible; large repertoires required intuitive hierarchical categorization (genres, sub-genres, poets, and occasions); and welcoming community submissions risked inundating the app with spam, corrupt formatting, or copyrighted duplicates without an editorial review gate.
Vision engineered the Loksangeet mobile ecosystem and its robust 26-endpoint CodeIgniter 3 REST JSON API. The platform features lightweight mobile registration and HS256 JWT sessions with instant database token blacklisting upon logout; a nested category and sub-category browsing tree displaying real-time song counters; high-speed multi-field search scanning titles, lyrics text, and categories; a mobile-optimized lyrics reader with normalized typography; and a community submission pipeline enabling users to contribute lyrics as text, photos, or scanned PDFs (up to 10 MB) governed by an admin moderation workflow (Pending, Approved, Rejected).
